It’s pretty tough being a kid in the kitchen. All the huge mixing spoons and cumbersome spatulas really don’t help.

Tom holding 10x15cm frame

I think comic book superheros from the past are the coolest dudes ever to live on the planet. Words like CRUNK! and KWAM! have been lost in time, so I thought it was time to bring them back in the form of a Superframe!!

These look really good on a desk or sideboard with your favourite pics in and kids love them. They are made from wood and have a perspex window, so it won’t break in small hands. I have used original 1970s comicbooks which have brilliant illustrations and finished the frame with a clear lacquer.

This was the first thing that I ever made for Elsie Sparrow. My mum used to call me a her little Sparrow when I was a tot and it’s stuck with me ever since.  I used to doodle the bird all the time when I was at Art School, probably because I was missing my mum.

I redrew the design, dusted off the sewing machine and knocked up my first ever Elsie Bird. She’s not much to look at, but means everything to me. I found a local company selling English Lavender which smells AMAZING! She’s outdoors here, but looks just as good hanging around the house.
